Special Attention:
Not for use with high compression engines. Starter has a 3/4 in. offset and fits applications with automatic transmissions using a 157 or 164 tooth ring gear or manual transmissions using a 157 tooth ring gear (Normally 5-speeds). This replaces OEM starters with a 'nose' that extends 2-3/8 in. past the mounting surface. Starter shims are included.

With their gear-reduction drives, heavy-duty Powermaster PowerMax starters really crank out the power--160 lb.-ft. of torque. So, they can handle engines with moderate compression ratios. If your stock starter clears your oil pan, the Powermaster PowerMax starters will, too. Some will also clear kicked-out pans. Powermaster PowerMax starters can be mounted in multiple orientations, featuring the new Infini-clock mounting system. Starter dyno reports are included.
